Holly is a Technology Consultant with a particular focus on China, drawing on previous experience supporting new R&D partnerships between the UK and China, including providing IP guidance. Holly is based in the London office.
Prior to joining Rouse, Holly was a career civil servant. Her last role was Regional Manager for Asia-Pacific for the Science and Innovation Network based in the British Embassy in Beijing. This was a fascinating role over four years, expanding the UK’s R&D presence in Asia Pacific, bringing together universities, businesses and researchers to develop new cutting-edge research and technologies.
Holly's main focus was China, where working with institutions in both countries, she was responsible for £360m joint UK-China funding programme for science and innovation as well as supporting businesses and universities unlock new R&D funding and export their technologies to China.
Before moving to China, Holly was Chief of Staff for David Willetts, the then Science and Innovation Minister, where she was drawn into international R&D collaboration. Prior to that Holly held a number of different roles within the Civil Service ranging from management of the Government’s legislative programme to quality management of GP practices.
