Mona is an IP Manager working in the Trade Marks Group in the Dubai office.
Mona is an experienced Trade Mark Agent with more than 12 years experience in the Middle East and North Africa. She joined Rouse in 2000 having graduated with a degree in Foreign Languages and Translation from the Ajman University of Science & Technology and had an essential role in establishing the Trade Mark Agency practice in the Dubai office back in 2000.
Mona has experience in conducting clearance searches, creating filing strategies, dealing with prosecution matters such as oppositions, appeals and office actions.
For a number of clients Mona’s practice includes managing trade mark portfolios extending to Europe, America, and Asia. She has experience of working in a wide range of sectors including food and beverages, fashion, retail, banking, clothing and footwear, pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, beauty, tobacco and many others.
Mona studied Intellectual Property at Queen Mary University of London in the UK.
In recent years Mona has also played a key role in the creation and running of our Formalities Team in Dubai, which provides process support to our Trade Mark practice group.
