Lucy, a patent attorney and a lawyer with 25 years of experience in IP field, leads the firm's Patent Group. She is a licensed lawyer at Lusheng Law Firm, Rouse's associated firm in China.
Lucy specializes in a full range of patent services including complex patent prosecution, patent re-examination and invalidation, and infringement litigation in the technical fields of mechanics and electronics. She also conducts patentability analysis and is involved in intellectual property licensing, customs intellectual property protection, section 337 investigations, IP portfolio management and IP strategy planning. She is the co- contributor to a chapter in "Patent Law in Greater China" edited by Stefan Luginbuehl and Peter Ganea, published by Edward Elgar. She is a mentor on advising IP strategy at the Tsinghua University IP Centre at the Tsinghua X-lab project.
Before joining the firm, Lucy worked in the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) for more than 10 years and then led the patent team in an US law firm in Beijing for 11 years. She has Masters of Law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, USA and the China University of Political Science & Law. She also has both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Information Management from Peking University.
