We are pleased to announce that Luke Minford is now our new CEO
Rupert Ross-Macdonald has guided the firm over 13 years with great success, but has chosen to step back to take the newly-created role of full-time Chairman.
Rupert will focus on providing strategic counsel and guidance to the senior management team, as well an important external role focussing on all aspects of client service delivery.
Luke will take over as new CEO from 1st May and will be supported in his role by Nick Redfearn, who has been promoted from his current role leading Rouse’s Indonesian office to provide hands on support for Luke as new Deputy Chief Executive.
Having joined Rouse in 1997, Luke has spent three years heading the firm’s London office and six years leading the firm in China, where he lived and practised for more than 20 years before moving to the UK. He is listed in Chambers Global 2013 as “a leader in his field”.
Nick joined in 1995 and has helped to establish the firm’s presences in Thailand and the Philippines as well performing key roles in Rouse’s Vietnam, Dubai and Chinese offices. Nick will relieve current Deputy Chief Executive, Stuart Adams, who will be leading Rouse’s expansion into Russia - starting with the opening of our new Moscow office on Leznaya Plaza on 1st May.
Luke and Nick will work closely together and will also retain a significant portfolio of client facing work.
Luke Minford said:
“It’s an honour to be asked to lead this unique and inspirational firm at such an exciting time in its development. We’re in a very strong position in that we have great clients and people and we’re one of the only IP focused firms that is truly international. Rupert is one of the founding fathers of Rouse, arriving in 1991, and it is no exaggeration to say that the firm would not be what it is today without his drive and commitment.”
