Ed is a Consultant in our London office.
Ed advises businesses on how to protect their competitive advantage in the EU, and how to enter emerging markets without compromising their technology or brand. Ed works closely with our offices in China and Southeast Asia, and previously worked in Rouse’s Beijing office.
Before joining Rouse in 2015, Ed trained as an IP lawyer at Nabarro LLP in London, during which time was seconded to Mercedes-Benz for seven months. Ed has worked on the full range of IP rights, including both UK and international IP disputes.
Cases in which Ed has been involved include:
- GlaxoSmithKline v Wyeth (High Court - infringement and validity of meningitis vaccine patent)
- Wobben Properties v Siemens (Court of Appeal – infringement and validity of method of operating wind turbines at high speeds)
Ed also has experience in non-contentious drafting, including IP licensing, confidentiality agreements, and commercial contracts.
