Rouse supports Tsinghua University's Innovation Technology Award
Rouse are proud to announce that Jianzhong Digital is the winner of the Rouse Innovation Technology Award.
Part of the Tsinghua President’s Innovation Challenge, the award winners, Jianzhong Digital, founded by a team from Tsinghua’s School of Aerospace Engineering, developed a high-speed stealth unmanned helicopter.
The President’s Cup is an annual innovation and entrepreneurship contest organised by X-Lab – Tsinghua University’s Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Platform. This year, a total of 132 teams entered the competition, whittled down to the top 10 teams competing in the finals, which took place on 2nd June in Beijing. The finalists include a wide variety of creative inventions and innovative solutions including the first internet based psychological clinic, AI composer, smart city transportation solution and graphic software development platform etc. The finalists showcased their innovations through multi-media presentations and explained their business plans. Rouse sponsored this year’s Innovation Technology award, represented by Nigel Wong of Rouse’s Technology Venture’s team.
Since 2015 Rouse and Microsoft have been joint sponsors of the X-Lab’s IP Centre, which provides coaching and advisory services to X-Lab project teams as they set up new ventures, and teaches IP strategy across a number of Tsinghua engineering faculties. The sponsorship of X-Lab aligns with Rouse’s mission to help the next generation of Chinese entrepreneurs realise value from the understanding and application of intellectual property.
